WHO WE ARE
Our Mission, Vision, and Ethos
Mission
To secure justice, compensation, and systemic reform for victims of child sexual abuse, trafficking, and online sexual exploitation through survivor-centered legal advocacy and cross-border accountability.
Vision
A world in which child victims have meaningful access to legal remedies, perpetrators are held accountable across jurisdictions, and justice systems function without borders.
Ethos
We are guided by survivor dignity, legal rigor, and long-term institutional reform. Our work prioritizes enforceable outcomes, sustainable systems, and collaboration across disciplines and nations.
OUR WORK
How We Advance Justice
Legal Representation
CJI is building survivor-centered legal clinics to represent victims of child sexual abuse, trafficking, and online sexual exploitation. We focus first on the Philippines, with a model designed to expand internationally.
Strategic Litigation & Reform
We pursue law reform, policy advocacy, and multi-jurisdictional coordination to remove barriers to compensation and accountability. Our work builds on decades of federal and international legal reform.
International Partnerships
We are guided by survivor dignity, legal rigor, and long-term institutional reform. Our work prioritizes enforceable outcomes, sustainable systems, and collaboration across disciplines and nations.
WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
The Gap Between Harm and Justice
Children who survive sexual exploitation often face enormous legal barriers. Compensation systems are fragmented. Cross-border crimes create jurisdictional confusion. Institutions frequently lack the tools or political will to pursue accountability.
As a result, many victims never access meaningful remedies, even when perpetrators are prosecuted.
From Individual Cases to Systemic Reform
CLOSING THE ACCOUNTABILITY GAP
Children’s Justice International builds legal pathways that allow survivors to pursue compensation and hold perpetrators accountable across borders. Our approach strengthens institutional responsibility while ensuring that justice is practical, enforceable, and survivor-centered.
By beginning in the Philippines and building internationally, CJI is developing legal infrastructure designed for long-term protection, not temporary response.
SYSTEMIC, NOT SYMBOLIC
CJI focuses on durable legal mechanisms that produce enforceable outcomes. Our work is structured to create lasting accountability across jurisdictions and prevent future exploitation.
